GETTING TO LORETO

Loreto International Airport is just 10 minutes from our hotel, with direct flights from Los Angeles, Phoenix, Dallas and Tijuana México. You can also reach Loreto by road along the highway 1  or by sea through Marina Puerto Escondido. 

Airport Transfers 
Taxis are  Located at the international and domestic  Terminals exit gate, taxi tickets are sold at the modules located near the arrival gates and in the walkway area.  Rates are posted in a visible place, payment accepted only cash.

NATURE & ADVENTURE
Bahia de Loreto National Marine Park
A UNESCO World heritage Site with five main islands: Carmen, Coronados, Danzante, Monserrat, Santa Catalina. Perfect for snorkeling, kayaking, paddleboarding, diving and sailing. 

WHALE WATHCHING
From January to March you can see blue whales, humpbacks, orcas and dolphins. Loreto is one of the best places in  the world to spot blue whales. 

ISLA CORONADOS
known for its white sand beaches, turquoise waters, sea lions, and snorkeling. 

HIKING IN THE SIERRA DE LA GIGANTA
Trails lead yo canyons, waterfalls, and desert landscapes with dramatic sea views. 

CULTURE & HISTORY
Mission of Our Lady of Loreto ( 1697)
The first mission of the Californias the "head and mother of all missions". the church and adjoining museum give a sence of Baja´s colonial history.

LORETO TOWN PLAZA
A tranquil spot surrounded by shops, cafés, and restaurants. Great for  people - enjoying evening strolls. 

MUSEO DE LAS MISIONES 
Small but informative, showing artifacts and history of the Jesuits missions.

Fishing
Loreto is famous for sportfishing: dorado, ( mahi mahi) sailfish, marlin, yellowtail and snapper are common. Many charter boats leave daily. 
Diving & Snorkeling
Clear waters with abundant marine life. Popular spots include Isla Danzante and Isla Coronados. 
Kayaking Expeditions: 
Multi-day kayaking trips are popular for exploring the islands and camping on pristine beaches.

Sunset on the Malecón: Walk along the waterfront as the sun sets behind the Sierra de la Giganta.

Day Trip: Drive to San Javier Mission ( about 40 minutes inland), one of the best-preserved missions in Baja, surrounded by Olive groves.
